Born & raised
in Central New York, Jeanne studied art throughout high school
and went on to get a degree in graphic art from SUNY Farmingdale. While
raising her two daughters with her husband Dick, she developed
a love of nature and landscape painting.
Jeanne
creates her landscapes using either acrylic or watercolor. Her
inspiration comes from her own experiences hiking & canoeing
in the Adirondack Mountains and the Tug Hill area of New York.
She enjoys working on location and uses her own photographs for
reference.
In
1998 Jeanne was chosen as a featured artist for the WCNY television
Art Auction. In
addition, she has shown her work in many other shows throughout
New York including the Everson Museum in Syracuse, the Old Forge
Art Center in Old Forge and the Cooperstown Art Association. Her work is collected both nationally
and internationally.
